Cute things kids say and do

I got a phone call this evening that my MIL, Boo, was in the hospital with kidney stone issues.  I was explaining it to the girls and that we needed to pray and ask Jesus to heal her.  Addy spoke up and prayed, "Dear God please help Nana to feel better, in Jesus name Amen!"  Then Addy asked me "if we drive really slow and don't go fast can we bring Nana to our house and take care of her?"  I told her that would be really sweet but she is in the hospital and the doctor is going to take really good care of her.  Addy said "Oh ok, well do you think Nana is going to get a lollipop from the doctor?  Do you think she will get a sticker?"

I love Addison's heart in this conversation! :)

One day this past week we had a water day with our homeschool group.  The kids had a blast.  There was wiggly sprinklers and a kiddie pool set up.  After a few hours of fun it was time to get changed into our DRY clothes (can you tell where this is going :) and load up and head home.  Well Jackson decided it was time to lay in the pool again.  He thought it was hilarious.  He jumped right in the pool and then rolled around laughing!  He was so cute!  I didn't have another outfit for him so I stripped him down and changed is soggy diaper again and he rode home in just a diaper :).

Miley 3 months

Miley has calmed down some around 3 months... not so demanding.  She still liked to be held.  But she is easier to make happy now without being held. :)  Miley started sucking her thumb at 11 weeks and slept through the night!  And has ever since! I'm one happy Mama!  She goes to sleep around 9 at night and I usually have to wake her up at 9 in the morning!  I just can't believe it!

Miley LOVES her thumb!

Payton

Payton my cutie pie!  Payton is very hard to get pictures of because... well she doesn't want to take pictures.  She is the fashion diva out of the girls.  She must go through 5 outfits a day.  (which if they are not dirty I totally put them back in her drawer!  Any mom is crazy if she washes all of that!)  She comes out fully dressed in the mornings and says "Mommy am I beautiful?"  Of course you are sweetie!  She usually matches and does all of this by herself.  She comes out dressed down to her shoes.  Payton is very emotional and sensitive.  To the drop of a hat she can go from grins and happy to screams and tears.  She is very sweet and helpful to her sisters and her brother.  She loves to help me.  She loves to cuddle and curl up in our lap.  She plays very well with everyone but also plays really good by herself.  She can't pronounce "G" in her words so she will say "dow" for go or "durls" for girls.  She loves for me to sing her 5 songs at bedtime and they have to be in order... Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, MIckey Mouse Clubhouse, Oobi (it's a show) Song and Jesus Loves Me.

Here Payton got dressed all by herself.  She matched that headband to her shoes. :)

Payton always has an opinion for how she wants her hair done.  Here she is wearing some brown dress shoes.  She calls them her "tappen shoes."  Not sure what makes them "tappen" but it's cute.

The girls have been putting on shows for me or should I say trying to put on shows for me.  They make Payton do it but Payton comes out and giggles out of embarrassment and laughs and says hang on let me do it over.  The mattress on the floor is their stage and they come out of their messy closet.

Payton loves to wear make up.  Some days I allow them to wear some eyeshadow and they love this!  Or some days they decide to put it on themselves or paint their nails by themselves... that has been a fun discovery in my bathroom.  HINT nailpolish remover does get nailpolish out of carpet ;)

She was sitting in the kitchen all by herself having a tea party.  It was cute!

Easter

Easter?! I know... it was a long time ago... but I'm so behind... I thought about not posting about Easter but these pics are to cute to not post and I really want it for our family book. (I print our blog each year)

So here are the 4 older kids :)  Nathan took these pics.  I was still getting ready and said "Oh quick get some pics of the kids in their Easter outfits!"  I can't believe how good they turned out!

Jack-Jack all dressed up... not to happy about it... LOL

Sweet Miley, I love this dress!

Easter morning the kids got donuts and a bucket full of goodies...

Our New Van aka The Beast

Most people dream of a sports car (and really I am one of those people... I dream of a Mustang) or as a family they dream of a Honda Odyssey or a SUV.  Nathan and I knew that we were going to have a large familiy and we dreamed of a BIG van! :) Yes we did... We would see one here or there and say to each other "that's what we're going to need!"  I know we're crazy... but ya love us! I know I mentioned a couple of times on the blog about believing God for something big and saving money towards "something."  Well were we believing for a big van.  We pay cash for everything. We don't want any debt if we can avoid it so this was a huge thing to save and wait for. It's easy to just go to a dealership and get what you need or want. We had to wait to have the money and then find what we needed in our price range. My uncle is a dealer and he really helped us find the perfect van!  You see we have had one vehicle for a long time, about a year.  We made it work and were so thankful that we lived close enough to Nathan's work that he would take his bike to work on the days that I needed the van.  He works about a mile from home.  So not to bad at all but on rainy days or busy weeks it could be rough.  I have to give Nathan MAJOR props here!  He never once complained.  If I said I needed the van he said "ok." If it was raining he would ride his bike or even walk home in the rain instead of calling me to pick him so I wouldn't have to load up all the kids.  Which I gladly would have!  :)  He is amazing!

So with Miley joining our family we weren't all able to fit in our minivan.  We did make a few adjustments to get us by for a few weeks until we got our van.  But we were crammed!  So here is The Beast.  I actually LOVE it more than I thought that I would.  Parking is challenging but I'm learning and getting lots of exercise in the mean time by parking far away. :)  We all fit and have plenty of room and it's not an issue when my little sister stays the night with us because we have the room. (We couldn't fit her in the minivan either!)  It's a tank, it's up high, it sucks gas... but I LOVE it!

It's a 2003 Ford E350 it only had 53,000 miles on it!, this thing can tow a house!  So if ya need to tow a house you know who to call!
