End of School Year Party!

The school year is over and we celebrated with our Homeschool Group with a water party!  We set up a slip and slide, pool, sprinkler and had tons of water balloons!  We gave out a certificate of completion for each child's grade.  The look on the kids faces and feeling accomplished was so sweet!

Having fun!

The kids lined up ready to get the water balloons!

All the kids lined up with their certificates.

Addison is going into the 1st grade!

Payton is going into Kindergarten!

Katie is going into the 2nd grade!

The boys ran away to fast for me to get their pics with their certificates... LOL!

Mother Daughter Tea Party

We had a Mother Daughter Tea Party with our Homeschool Group a few weeks ago.  I've never hosted a tea before but it was fun!  I have some china but not a full set.  A friends mom was so sweet to lend us a china set to use and even threw in some lace table clothes.  It really "made" the tea party.

We all enjoyed lunch, tea and pink lemonade.  The girls were so excited to drink out of real tea cups.  Each girl dressed up too.  My girls wore their princess dresses.

The boys enjoyed their tea too.  They were so cute!  I gave them Cars plates to man it up some.

We all enjoyed the tea and fellowship.  We had a great time with our daughters!

Jackson's (new) Big Boy Bed

So Jackson had a Lightening McQueen race care bed.  We got an insane deal on it on Craigslist for $75.  we did the biggest NO NO when buying furniture... We didn't measure.  We were so stoked to get this bed for him it didn't matter.  Now this bed was cool and Jackson loved it!  But it left NO room to play.  Plus knowing in a few short months a brother was coming kinda prompted our rearranging.

We had no problem selling the Cars bed and got what we paid for it.

Jackson loves his new bed (we got it from Ikea) and had no problem getting rid of his Cars bed.  We weren't sure if it was to soon to put him on a top bunk and that night proved that it was.  We're not sure what happened because we were asleep. But Jackson came to us crying and said he fell. :(

What's cool about this bed is in can be used in many ways.  (it's not as high as a regular bunk bed so no worries if he did fall)  But you can have it as a bunk bed with a fort underneath (or obviously add a bed)  or flip it over and it's a bed with a canopy.  Nathan flipped it the next day to make sure he was safe and we will have it as a bunk bed/fort later.

When did my baby get to be so big?

10 years! Not long enough!

This year Nathan and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary!  Time has flown by so fast.  I can't believe that it has been 10 years already.  I remember as newly weds saying, "can't wait until we're married for 10 years!"  I love Nathan more and more everyday.  The way that he leads our family and takes care of us absolutely amazes me!  He is such a hard worker.  He always puts my needs and the kids before his own.  The little things that he does for me overwhelm me with love.  Even yesterday I was out running errands and came home to a sandwich that he had made and ready for me, knowing that I would be hungry when I came home.  The little things in life that matter the most.

Ok... so onto our trip. I think since our 9th anniversary we have been talking about what to do for our 10 year.  We wanted to make sure that we took the time to enjoy each other and celebrate.  We had many ideas from a cruise to a weekend away in Savannah.  It all depended on if I was pregnant or not... Once we found out I was pregnant it simplified our plans.  Which is exactly what we needed and wanted.  We ended up going to Orlando (not even 2 weeks after our family vacation!).  I kept saying I want something low key... lay by the pool, shop and go to Ikea!  That is what we did... It really didn't matter where we went or what we did, what mattered is that we were spending uninterrupted time together.

We shopped the shops in Orlando, laid by the pool and swam and went to Ikea.

Yes I took a picture of Ikea!  Nathan had never been to Ikea and I had only been once a long time ago.  It was funny because Nathan was going mainly for me and he ended up loving it!  We got Jackson a new bed and some other things for the house (all which Nathan picked out!)  Seeing how the rooms were set up gave Nathan so many ideas on how we could save space in our house! (Never mind what I have said the past 2 1/2 years) :)  No biggie really! :)

We really enjoyed our time together and reenergized us!  We haven't gone away from the kids in 3 years... way to long!  My mom watched the kids and they were all well taken care of and they enjoyed their time with Gramma. We will definitely plan a get away a lot sooner next time!

Jackson turns 3!!!

We came back from our vacation the day before Jackson's birthday.  We chose to celebrate his birthday at Chuck E Cheese to make things easier. We invited one of Jackson's friends, Maddox and his family to join us.  We had a blast and the kids still talk about it!

Before we went to Chuck E Cheese we gave Jackson his big present which was a Chuggington Train Set.  He loves it!  Looking back we kinda went crazy with gifts for him.  He needed some boy toys!

Helping Daddy set up the train.

                                                                 Sweet Miley

Miley loved this little ride.  It sang ABC's and moved. She would not get off of it!

Jackson is a ham and ate up all the attention!

Do you think he was excited about his cupcake?

                                                                    Maddox and Kyle

                                                             Maddox, Kyle and Aimee

Jackson LOVES horses so this was a highlight for him.

More presents! I told you we went crazy!

Gift from the Breedings.  This has provided a lot of entertainment.  A disc flyer!

We came home and played until almost 10:00!  We had so much fun with Jackson's new toys and enjoyed our time together.  Watching Nathan play with Jackson and showing him how to play with his new imaginex figures was so cute and a moment I will always treasure!

Happy Birthday Bub!  We love you!
