10 years! Not long enough!
This year Nathan and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! Time has flown by so fast. I can't believe that it has been 10 years already. I remember as newly weds saying, "can't wait until we're married for 10 years!" I love Nathan more and more everyday. The way that he leads our family and takes care of us absolutely amazes me! He is such a hard worker. He always puts my needs and the kids before his own. The little things that he does for me overwhelm me with love. Even yesterday I was out running errands and came home to a sandwich that he had made and ready for me, knowing that I would be hungry when I came home. The little things in life that matter the most.
Ok... so onto our trip. I think since our 9th anniversary we have been talking about what to do for our 10 year. We wanted to make sure that we took the time to enjoy each other and celebrate. We had many ideas from a cruise to a weekend away in Savannah. It all depended on if I was pregnant or not... Once we found out I was pregnant it simplified our plans. Which is exactly what we needed and wanted. We ended up going to Orlando (not even 2 weeks after our family vacation!). I kept saying I want something low key... lay by the pool, shop and go to Ikea! That is what we did... It really didn't matter where we went or what we did, what mattered is that we were spending uninterrupted time together.
We shopped the shops in Orlando, laid by the pool and swam and went to Ikea.
Yes I took a picture of Ikea! Nathan had never been to Ikea and I had only been once a long time ago. It was funny because Nathan was going mainly for me and he ended up loving it! We got Jackson a new bed and some other things for the house (all which Nathan picked out!) Seeing how the rooms were set up gave Nathan so many ideas on how we could save space in our house! (Never mind what I have said the past 2 1/2 years) :) No biggie really! :)
We really enjoyed our time together and reenergized us! We haven't gone away from the kids in 3 years... way to long! My mom watched the kids and they were all well taken care of and they enjoyed their time with Gramma. We will definitely plan a get away a lot sooner next time!
